How to use:
Cut a piece from a roll or use a piece of pre-cut of E-Zee Cut® Performance to fit your hoop size. Hoop by placing the backing underneath the garment. Embroider the design and remove the embroidered item from the hoop. Trim the excess backing with a sharp pair of scissors or shears, leaving approximately ¼” around the outside of the design. Rounding the corners instead of leaving them square or pointed will avoid curling later on.
Adding a lightweight or medium Tear Away backing for added stability:
To hoop, place the E-Zee Tear® Away backing down first, then sandwich the E-Zee Cut Performance backing in between the garment on top and the Tear Away backing. Embroider the design and remove the embroidered item from the hoop. Tear off the excess Tear Away backing first. Trim the excess Cut Away backing with scissors. Putting the Tear Away on the bottom helps with the hooping process in addition to added stability during the embroidery process. A more crisp design may be obtain immediately and hold up for the life of the garment.
Helpful Hint:
To avoid nicking the fabric when trimming away the backing: Hold the backing while trimming and let the garment drape. Be sure to face it so you can see both the edge of the design and the fabric while you are trimming.
